September 2, 2022
Labor Day is often considered to be the unofficial “end of summer” holiday but is actually an effort to recognize American workers. It was first celebrated in New York City in 1882 and signed into law as a legal holiday by President Grover Cleveland in 1894. Hudson Grande Senior Living will be recognizing this 140th year anniversary of Labor Day by proclaiming appreciation to our employees.
As a community, we decided 2022 would be “The Year of the Employee,” and thus focused our business plans on ways to celebrate those individuals who make Hudson Grande Senior Living what it is and allow us to do what we do. We recognize that healthcare and caregiving is a difficult profession at the best of times but adding COVID-19 to the mix amplified the struggle.
